    Default Reinforcements ALWAYS delayed?

I've played the Crusades campaign in the Kingdoms expansion for some time now, and I'm starting to build up monstrous armies. Now that the Mongols have arrived, it's a major showdown with 6-7 armies per side battling it out in the desert (playing as Antioch). But when I attack with several armies, more than two, my reinforcements are constantly "delayed" and so are the Mongol's (using AI-controlled reinforcements). They usually show up after a while (about half the battle) but it seems to be because a lot of soldiers have been killed. Is this because the engine can't support that many troops at once (unit size set to huge) or because I'm fighting in the desert? I have all the graphics settings to maximum and the game runs without a single hiccup. This gets really annoying since battles are several times harder if my reinforcements never arrive. Is there a way to override the engine settings if that's the problem, or will it make the game crash? I don't want to turn graphics down, as I think my computer should be able to handle it. As it is now I have to auto-resolve battles, which is boring and usually not in my favour on Hard campaign mode.

    I have the following PC:

    Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz
    8 GB RAM
    ATI Radeon 4850
    Windows 7 Beta.

    *edit*

I think I've fixed it by setting "unlimited men on battlefield" to "1" in medieval2.preferences.cfg in the game folder. I'll see if it changes anything.

    *edit2*

Not only did it not fix the reinforcements delay issue, but it caused weird bugs in the campaign mode (such as money "disappearing"). If anyone knows how to deal with this I'd be grateful for an answer.

Reinforcements being delayed has been a complaint since the game was released. If I remember right, it is built into the engine and one of the things that never got changed.

I changed the cfg file a few times, and it worked. Reinforcements are now never "delayed"

Which line is that? Others including me would like to know.

It's above the last line in the "[game]" category. It says "unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 0". Change it to "unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 1". In really big battles though, you start noticing that the engine can't really take it, and I've got a decent computer.

ok i made an article to solve this problem cause i noticed in some threads that people had their file setup wrong, therefore not accepting the change you indicated.
