    Default BC Britannia

Has any one thought about a mod in britain when the romans start their conquest on britain where you can either start from france or have a settlement in southern england tp start off with the romans.

These would be the tribes all the main tribes will be playable with the odd irish and scottish tribes n the welsh. This is a idea and i hope it will be made.

Heres some websites that ne useful
    http://www.roman-britain.org/
http://www.historyfiles.co.uk/MainFeaturesIndex.htm great mapping of the roman conquest
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hill_fort

    Factions list:

    Romans
    Dumnonii
    Iceni
    Brigantes
    Catuvellauni
    Calledonii
    Cantiaci
    Ordovices
    Durotriges
    Demetea
    Coritani
    Trinovantes
    Votadini
    Novantea
    Deceangli
    Atrebates
    Parissi
    Damnonii
    Cornovii
    Silures

These are what ive chosen and for the rest of the tribes they will be rebels with their names on.

The settlements will be most historicly accurate as i can with the likes of maiden castle, Castle an dinas, Stanwick iron fort and castle hill etc list of some places in the 3rd link.

The music on the game will be either roman and celtic.

Units of that time accuretly researched
    Pagan religions improved
Buildings with new images and new ones like sacrificing ponds and a way to make the people lest angry by increasing sacrifing.

Some historical battles like the iceni rebellion.

Historical characters for the tribes and to play as julio cesar for the romans to try and conquer britain and maybe even further to ireland and scotland.

(a planned province map will show soon until iv dun abot from collage)

    Luv the idea!
I like mods that let you explore a 'small area' in detail, rather than the whole world.
    Hope someone picks it up...

Yes but at the same time I would like to see a 'World Wide' map. You will need to do alot of research Dragonswarrior, if you want to give us a detailed view on these factions.

The good thing is barbarian units resemble each other so you can always see what other mods have and do a nice pick & mix lol.

Very nice, I think you can pick this up Dragonswarrior. You have your campaign set, a beta should be able to be completed in half the time of most mods.

i was thinking a little bit bigger but thank you for your contribution i'm having northern france on so the romans cant start off with. and also thinking of making propper hill forts with out the wooden pallisides like the one in maiden castle as a new type of boundery but as the romans come in they can start with the wooden walls

the campain map will be show around the end of this weekend

    @DragonsWarrior
A great thing to read for you
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=222720

following MoN's tips i would suggest to use Arthurian's or MTW2 map of Britain, limit the faction list to 5-7 in the first release and use units from other mods/skinpacks.

    Good luck
