Games stopped working. Need urgent help!

Hello, I dont know if this has been posted, and i dont have time to check out. Anyway, my medieval 2 total war just stopped working. Mind that the game WORKED PERFECTLY no lag no anything. So the problem is that I lost all my saved games. I didnt thought it was much of a problem, so i started a new campaign. When im going to save it, i cannot, because it says that it cant write the save files on disk. Battles worked fine, but suddenly they also stopped working. Now whenever i start a new battle the game crashes saying that it encountered an unspecific error or something. I was playing Stainless Steel 4.1, but I unistalled it completely (all files removed entirely) and then reinstalled the out of box vanilla. Same problem. So i installed rome total war to get myself busy for a while, and lol... guess what.. it has the exact same problem! i mean im completely lost, i googled it and i cant find anything relevant. I only did find a post here that says this same thing, but the guy got no answer. So please i really need help!. These are my favorite games, and i waited almost 2 years to play Medieval 2 total war, and i only started it finally one month ago in my new laptop. With these problems the game is completely useless.... im desperate. BTW my operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. But before you start complaining about the "total war and vista thread" remember that the game worked perfectly normal, no bugs no crashes no anything, and i also have it installed on another computer, and it works completely normal, so its not from the disks. HELP!

Don't want here about the sticky? Okay, then what else have you installed since you installed Medieval2 the first time up to the crash? Any other games? Any cd\dvd burning software? Download anything considered illegal here like torrents or warez?

No, the only thing i have installed other than those two games is World of Warcraft, msn messenger, hmmm homeworld 2 and all those programs that came with vista, i only have my laptop for 15 days... and my medieval and rome are original copies..

World of Warcraft and Homeworld2 use Securom like this game for copy protection. Under present circimstances, I don't believe there is any way you are going to play all three.

Contact Securom support for help. This is beyond the capabilities of this forum.

Forget Homeworld 2, i uninstalled it because i couldnt even play it, because of the UAC or whatever it is really. And i cant disable the beast, i have windows vista home edition.. and it says that this version of WV doesnt allow to disable it. Also i have warcraft 3, but the game worked fine and they were already installed.... it just freaked out suddenly.

How your computer maker got Warcraft and Homeworld to coexist, I don't know. From your description, they just loaded them and sold it to you without checking things first of which means they don't know, either.

It may take a while and something like an installed update for the new copy protection to catch up but it seems like they always do.

Do you how I found out what copy protection they use? Google.

As far as UAC? you can Goolge it, too. It's also in Microsft's Knowledge Base.
