Crash when loading saved/new campaign?

Hello.

I recently bought MTW2, and I got this problem where I cannot load a saved campaign, nor start a new campaign. This is not true all the times, as the campaign can load as it should about 10% of the times I try. Yet not beeing able to load it 90% of the times is really frustrating, since my headset make a terrible loud sound and the computer freezes or the computer just reboot. Due to this issue, I formatted my computer and I reinstalled all neccesary (and updated) drivers. I did also open up my computer, cleaned the fans and checked for visible broken parts. Yet the issue remains.

Ive never encountered anything similar with other games (such as Civ4, Heroes IV & III, WC3, AoC, CS 1.6 etc..)

WinXP SP2
The game runs perfectly smooth and nice when I play combat, and when I play the little bit of campaign the game managed to start.
