Gah, Scipio used the momentum for his advantage, Hannibals campaign failed when he didn't invade rome. Hannibal was in the end a screw up
But im not that into the romans so i cant add anything![]()
Perhaps, Hannibal should have gambled and marched to Rome, but at the time the tactics he chose (wasting Roman's countryside and waiting for Roman allies and celts to take his side, and then giving Rome the final blow) was sound. However, many allied cities kept their alliance with Rome, Hannibal received no reinforcements from homeland, and Romans wasted no time and acted promptly and effectively (by refusing to discuss a deal, by using the delay tactics, by attacking Carthage home base in Spain, and ultimately by bringing war back to Africa).
I like rome but im usally all greek but just started a rome game so why not :hmmm:
