    Default campaign map mod

I was reading through the forums about how many people want a campaign map so i have started copying every NTW2 unit over to a vanilla mod-folder with a map. ive just fineshed britain and am now onto france. Would it be ok if i finish it that i could release it just to humor those who want it so much?

you would need to change some of the locations of some nations.... i think the Lordz used Macedon for the Swedes, and it'd be kindof weird seeing Scandinavians in the Mediteranian...

Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter, never again will we bow before them; never again endure their oppression; never again endure their tyranny. We will strike without warning and without mercy, fighting as one hand, one heart, one soul. We will shatter their dreams and haunt their nightmares, drenching our ancestors' graves with their blood. And as our last breath tears at their lungs; as we rise again from the ruins of our cities...they will know: Helghan belongs to the Helghast." -Scholar Visari

I think the campaign ai would work out well enough, you just must be sure that the recruitment priority is tweaked correctly so as to avoid disproportionate armies milling about. But otherwise the OIM team has proven that a gunpowder based campaign can work

Thats a great news, the execellent NTW needs a campaign, even if the AI may partially ruin it

Cool nice, but i think best to wait until ETW, because then a real Napoleonic Total War Mod can be made then and i said before the Lordz will use their great talents on that. Imagine a Napoleonic Total War III mod lol it would be worthy of the name ETW is just around the corner now so by your time be patient and wait for it lol

Gunpowder warfare can work on the Rome engine, but not as good as it will with Empire's engine.

Its worth a try though, especially on behalf of those of us who can't play M2TW or Empire because of hardware limitations.

If you thought that was only a matter of copy and paste files, it is logical that the AI does not do anything ... Would have to copy and paste animations, and many other folders and files more ... And check that everything matches perfectly with everything.

One thing I have discovered, trying to make the Imperial Guard (only for testing) in a RTW is that if you leave the stats as they were (stat_pri 15, 0, bullet, 70, 60, siege_missile, archery, piercing, sword, 25, 1.0) ... the game simply to CTD. I should to edit like a triarii-soldier (stat_pri 7, 3, no, 0, 0, Melee, simple, piercing, spear, 25, 0.73) ... then the game could see that it was, there was where I realized that everything is not just copy and paste.

It's a real monster-job to get results just satisfactory. I, not knowing much, I think you can, but working alone if you will be easier to meet with disappointment and insastifaccion that with the success ... You need more help, not work alone .

    Take it easy
