    Default Game will not even start. (contains screenshots, logs & detailed info.)

    Okay so I recently picked this gem up.
    Got home, installed.
    Boots fine.
    But when the Loading screen for any game mode has finished loading [bar is full] the game hangs. and I cant:
    - Alt & Tab out
    - Alt & F4 out
    - Ctrl-Alt-Delete out.

    I have to switch my laptop off at the power to get out.

    Ive tried running it on lowest possible specs, with no prevail.
    Still happens.

    Now today, after patching the game to
    1.1 - Still happens
    1.2 - Still happens
    1.3 - Still happens

    Restarted PC due to Windows Updates.
    Now I get:

    (I am running .NET Framework 3.5 SP1)

    When Clicking on details I get:

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.
    For example:
    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>
    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

    Initial reaction is your cpu is minimum on a desktop, the video chipset is not for 3d gaming even on the best of days (I had it on a desktop), and when you updated Windows someplace in the mess it messed up you directx files. Download and install the latest runtime files and try it, again.

    I have the latest DirectX runtime...

    Result's from System Requirements Lab 'Can You Run It?'

    So according to the specifications given by SEGA.
    I can run this game.

    If thet say you can run minimum then I'm proven wrong.

    If you can't play original 1.0 all the patches will do no good. The problem still exists.

    Have you tried reinstalling the game since you updated everything? What other games have you installed? Do you have any cd/dvd burning software installed?

    Have installed GTA: San Andreas since installing this, and it runs a charm at full spec.
    (I know its older.)

    I'll try re-installing.

    Not good news. Just googled GTA SA copy protection and it's Securom, also. You're may not be able to play both without help from Securom. The ball is now in their park.
