    Default Pathfinding help

While I'm sure there are topics for this, seach continuously brings up nothing.
So just to see if anyone knows more than me.
    Pathfinding.
Is there anyway to improve multiple turn path finding? I'm playing SPQR and only have the eastern empires left to conquer, and I'd like to able to bring Legions from Italy and Africa into the black sea via ship.
However it's very annoying as ships can only seem to be told how far to go one or two turns in advance, making you have to micromanage a dozen or more ships every turn.
Is there any way to load a ship in Italy or Africa or anywhere, and with just one click get it to set coarse for anywhere else on the map?

    Thanks.

I wish I knew as well, but sadly, I do not. I will be checking back later...there better be an answer!

I think the area you are moving to must not be covered by the fog of war, I think if not then I don't know of any other solution.

i think u can click within their movement range and then go on for a while but after a while the path wont go any farther but u can get like 10 turns in advance planned. until u run into an enemy ship and have to reset the path lol

You can only make things walk for multiple turns without you interfering (getting the different coloured walking line) for a few turns, max. Maybe 4 or 5, but that's it. Sorry, but I don't think that can be modified, or if it can, no one I've heard of has thought of doing it...

Oh well. Is Medieval II's pathfinding better for long term things?
I hope Empires is, the way rome is set up, the bulk of the Empire is basically useless. Medieval I may have been a bit too quick to get soldiers anywhere, even if its realistic that the seas can get soldiers anywhere around Europe within a year, a few turns are fine for gameplay purposes, but you should at least be able to direct people from one corner to the other of the world with one command.

Good thing Empires is based on a new engine...

What you're asking about is, to be honest, a very minor issue. I don't think CA thought about it much... And this is the first thread I seen regarding it being a problem. Med II is the same way as RTW in this.
