    Default Greatest Generals

Post your greatest generals right here, kings, princes, or just random knights! Post'em right here! I wanna see them all...

My best general was with England; it was Robert the Malevolent
He was brutally scarred, he committed a crusade against Jerusalem, thus enabling the conquering of the middle east, he had maximum dread and maximum command points, he died at the age of 65, a turn away from facing the biggest army the world has ever known: The Mongols.
He was the lord of the Holy Land, stationed in Jerusalem he ruled over Antioch, Jerusalem, Acre, Gaza and Cairo, he was responsible for the demise of the great Egyptian king...Which I forgot his name...
Robert was also the master of cavalry and infantry, especially guerrilla warfare (Against the Turks, you fight guerrilla with guerrilla), he fended off 4 Jihads to retake the Holy Land, and had 5 generals and family members under his command. I eventually killed off my entire family tree to make him my king and main bloodline... It worked (And, all my generals got like +3 to dread and command each because of heir apparent and stuff like that, or dreaded father). On a final note: The best general, evah.

My current faction leader is astonishingly good.

Sultan Mustafa the Honourable - as the Crown Prince he went on Jihad to Antioch, and the campaign turned give him full chivalry and five Piety. He led my forces Westward then to destroy the Byzantines, and upon conquering Nicea and Constantinople he was a 10-star general, with ten chivalry and was so Pious he was considered a living saint.

Now as my Sultan he has a maximum score in everything.

If ever you need to spruce up a Leader or Heir, send them on Crusade/Jihad. It can not fail.

mine was Henrik the Chivalrous max chivalry max command max faith max loyalty, with traits like brutally scarred, morbidly mortal, bastion of chivalry etc. and he got stuff from crusading (crown of thorns). when i got kicked out of civil revolt in jerusalem, i made him roam around arabia and cyprus and made him a mercenary army (3 turcopoles 2 unhorsed knights, 2 sudanese tribesmen, 4 alan light cavalry, 3 armenian cavalry, 3 religous fanatics, 3 armenian archers) who won a number of heroic victories against the odds and wrecked the mongols operations in the mideast.

Playing as Denmark I let Prince Charles take over the Baltic, head West to England, and the full scale invasion of France and Spain. Turn number 20 comes up and Charles is 32, relations with the pope is outstanding and so I request A crusade on Jerusalem.

Charles goes on Crusade and conquers everything from Greece to Baghdad to Egypt and is stationed in Edessa, the first Mongol wave shows up and under command of Charles gaurding the fortress Edessa slaughters 3 stacks and goes to max everything, (including authority as Knud passes away A decade ago) He finally passes away at 63 the most decorated and legendary king in Danish history.

Charles the Saint, he won his title fighting the heretics of the Eastern Baltic. Full stats except for command, he never was any good with siege equipment. He went on to crush a invasion by the HRE and conquered the British Isles. Too bad he never had any sons....

Very nice guys, interesting stuff, very nice to see all those awesome generals.
    My 2nd best general:
    Faction: The Holy Roman Empire
    Year: Around 1300ish
Zigizmund the Honorable; the first general I actually -allowed- to have chivalry, he did not have maximum chivalry as I kept exterminating populaces and executing, however he committed 2 crusades, so it evened up.
Zigizmund was adopted at the age of 22, as he won a heroic victory against a Spanish conquest army, which conquered Pamplona from the Imperial troops, after retaking the city of Pamplona, the great king (Forgot his name, d'oh!) requested a crusade be done on Lisbon, the pope quickly agreed and declared it, Zigizmund rallied an army of thousands and marched on Lisbon, under the sign of the cross, he conquered it. A decade later, after the whole of Iberia was conquered by Zigizmund, he was a 7 star general, 5 chivalry, 10 piety and 10 loyalty. The new king, crowned this year, was young. Very young, some say too young... However, he sent Zigizmund to the holy land, in order to take Jerusalem, and the conquest began. before conquering Jerusalem (Which, sadly, wasn't heavily guarded), Zigizmund split his army and built a full army of thousands out of crusading mercenaries, and with that Zigizmund had two full armies to conquer the holy land with. After taking Gaza and Jerusalem, and adopting a new son, assigning him his right hand man, Zigizmund continued north, under orders from the king and the pope, he conquered Acre, Antioch and Aleppo. A few years later, Aleppo was attacked, and Zigizmund and his son sallied out to Aleppo's aid... Zigizmund's son perished. The Mongols arrived soon later, and Zigizmund sallied towards them, in order to aid his Turkish allies, the Mongol leader and prince were killed in a furious battle for Baghdad. A few years later, the rest of the Mongolian troops arrived, attacking Zigizmund and his massive army, along with his Turkish allies... And that was the end of Zigizmund and his army. Baghdad, Aleppo and Adana were taken by the Mongols... Only to be retaken by the previously-inexperienced king, on a new crusade, with an army of tens of thousands... Aleppo was renamed to Zeldo, in rememberance of Zigizmund, Baghdad to Zigdan, and Jerusalem to Zigizmund. The Holy Land was under Imperial rule. With vengeance in his heart, the grand king conquered the whole of the east in redemption for sending Zigizmund to this fool's errand.
    Stats at death:
    Age: 53
    Command: 10
    Chivalry: 7
    Loyalty: 10
    Piety: 10
    Sons: one dead, one daughter.
Lands taken: Iberia and the Holy Land.

    King Knud The Malevolent
    Faction: Denmark.
He was the first king of Denmark, he was a strong king, powerful, he conquered the whole of Poland and Russia in his lifetime, he had maximum dread and command starts, three to piety and maximum authority.
    Long story short: He rocked.

My best generals are not the ones with the high ratings, but the ones that have been surprised and still defeat the enemy with available resources. Heroic victories solve the rating issue. Successful Crusades with occupation solve the chivalry issue. The priests in the Crusade army or with the general in the field as a normal course of doing business solve the piety issue. Winning battles solves the loyallty issue. So the key is start young, stay busy, and die of old age and you will be one of the greatest generals in a campaign.

King Jose the Mighty of Spain (Age 48)
(really, his title is actually the Mighty lol; this was the effect of the trait Legendary Commander(command +5)

    Command 10*
    Chivalry 2*
    Authority 10*
    Piety 9*

One of the best commanders I have had so far in numerous campaigns. If it wasn't for the 10* command limit he should be around 22* right now.

When he is not slaughtering the enemy, Jose likes to participate in tourneys, drink with the men, make love to his wife, or a combination of the above. He also occasionally participates in crusades against the infidels. He has 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy Martin who is 14 and should be a pretty good commander considering his genes.

    Nicely done, both of you.
    Prince Granius the Malevolent
    Year: 1300+
    Faction: Poland
    Command: 7
    Dread: 10 (Oh yes )
    Loyalty: 10
    Piety: 2
The Prince made war with Russia, Denmark, Hungary and the Holy Roman Empire, all at different times, he won many great battles (3 heroic victories!), and he was the greatest general of my campaign, I actually -did- like him.
He died at the age of 57.

I had a Polish King called King Slazovich the saint.
    Name:^^
    Reign: Aged 29-72 (Hell yes!)
Lands taken: Britain, Italy(Pope and all) Germany France and the Holy land, where he died in Dongola yeah I know what a place but he had 6 sons and 1 daughter (some a accident?) and his sons al ended up with 7+ command 6+ chivalry etc.

    10 Command
    10 chivalry
    9 Authority
    10 Piety

If not for 10 max it would be something like this

    24 command
    19 chivalry
    9 Authority (Dam)
    14 Piety

He was awesome and when attacking at night he had 29 command

    He some where around 1200-1350

He was awesome I'm sure I'll get a better one on my SS 6.1 mod when I get my kingdom disc scratch repaired.

Doge Cristiano the Honourable. He won my faction (Venice) lower Italy and defeated Antioch in a Crusade. He won many difficult sieges, and had to besiege Antioch twice due to a revolt. Right now Egypt is about to storm Antioch (I guess they don't take well to Europeans so far from home) and he'll meet his end. He lived a good life.
