computer switches off

everytime i start the game it goes through the introduction but as soon as it goes to the map the computer restarts. i have all the updates.
i am running xp home edition with radeon 1600/1650 series. all the drivers are up to date. can any one help

For what you have said here are the requirements for the 1600:
System Requirements
PCI Express® based PC is required with one x16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
Connection to the system power supply is required (Adapter Included)
350-Watt power supply or greater recommended (assumes fully loaded system)
512MB of system memory
Installation software requires CD-ROM drive
DVD playback requires DVD drive and decoder software (not included)
Connection to the system's power supply is required for AGP configurations only.

One thing it could be is your power supply is too small for a full load. How does the rest of it match against your system?
