Ok, well I'm playing as the House of Scipii and Numida has just sieged a island town of mine. My forces began with full numbers of a General, 3 Velites, 3 Hastati, and 1 Town Watch.
Numida sieged it with two armies, 1 smaller and the other. I was able to salley forth and take out army number 1, although when number 2 caught up I fell back to the center of my town to have the troops rest.
I salley'd forth again and was able to take out half of the secound army, but when my troops began to take losses and routed I fell everyone back to the center of my village again for rest.
So now I need some help. My forces have been reduced to only 2 generals body guard (including the general), my viletes have been reduced to 1 unit of 11, 1 of 30, and 1 of 38. The hastati are at 1 of 13, 37, and 7. The unit of town guard is now at 18.
The remaining enemy consists of 2 Numidian cavalry (missle cav., 1 is at 5 and the other at 4 including the enemy commander), 21 Slingers, and the rest consisting of Numidian Javelinmen for a whopping 347 troops.
I know, the odds are against me. But as Sun Tzu said numbers mean almost nothing, and it strue cause as you can see the enemy is made up of entirely missle troops, and have barley any melee capability. However, the mass amounts of numbers are a huge problem and will make my morale drop witch will lead to routing.
I know this battle can become a victory, but I need you advice on how to make it so. So any help would be nice.
EDIT: I have no ammo left for any of my missle troops, by the way.
