    Because they would drag Carthage into terrible struggle otherwise. Numidia was hardly a faction in 280BC and of no importance at all. They would appear only if you play them or Carthage (give you something to earn experiences )

    Could you tell me how to prevent them from being destroyed though?

    Making my own little submod for personal use, and it's rather vital that Numidia is alive.

    Check Data\scripts\..... In the biggest script file, there is a line "console_command kill numidia" I think. Remove it and numidia would live, and carthage would die

    Won't die once I add the superfaction line to the descr_strat, and just script Carthaginian armies spawning when playing as the romans!

    If you wait till after the first turn before activating the script they will also not die.

    Nah, he's using Alex.exe. Does that support emerging factions? I know it doesn't do hordes.
