cannot start Kingdoms!

first off... I can´t install vanilla from the DVD... it tries to install kingdoms despite the fact that vanilla isn´t installed...

I "force" the vanilla installation by exploring the DVD and klick on setup in the folders where it is located... after that I install kingdoms and the 1.5 patch... vanilla works fine... but when I try to start a Kingdoms game it says "Wrong CD/DVD in ROM" or something similar (it´s in swedish so I can´t translate it exactly to english)...

the problem is that the bloody DVD IS in the rom! I recently tried to delete ALL the SEGA files (and registry entries) but to no avail...

I have again searched the Kingdoms forum for help, but apparently I use the wrong key words or everyone uses totally irrelevant titles...

the guys at the Stainless Steel forum have tried to help me, but now it seems to be a problem with the Kingdoms, I turn to you guys (and gals?)

I know that I´m being obnoxious, but it´s been almost two weeks now and I have tried installing, re-installing, uninstalling, spitting over my shoulder (sorry for the couch honey), yelling at the monitor... no avail...


I have Vista, Gold edition and right now, no mods or patches...

i have vista and gold and it works fine, maybe your DVD is screwed, take it back to the place you brought it
