    Default Field works?

In my bosporan campaign, I had been forced to take some rebel settlements full of heavy cavalry and horse archers, and, after two or three unfortunate sieges, I had tried a new tactics agains them. I used battering rams and hoplites between them to stop enemy cavalry, and a lot of foot archers behind them to slain enemies from a far:

If a simple battering ram could be so useful, what about some field engineering? Some kind of long carts, or other vehicles, which can be placed on the battlefield and protect from enemy charges?
    Something like this:

Is it possible to add that feature to your minimod, AQD?

rams and towers could be made into independent units. I have done it before but never tried to use it to block charges Perhaps I could a supply cart unit like in ITW.

BTW you're not supposed to take those settlements. They're intended to hold against AI factions expanding into useless territory When I played Bosporan kingdom I always backstabbed Armenia or Pontus The last time when I was forced to take a steppe settlement, I lost 2 of 15 parthian cataphract archers...

Supply carts or something like them would be nice addition! The only one problem is how the player will deploy them inside the settlement when enemy tries to take that settlement (which will have carts garrisoned) by storm. Could it possible be a CTD?

P.S. > and a small question... How had you enabled custom battles and historical battles when made RTRPE running from ALX.exe?

1.Siege engines can be used inside city if it's deployeed there. Someone showed it in EB with all siege towers inside the wall (a map bug)

2.Custom battle works with -noalexander option. I dunno about historical battles... (I have removed them from menu?)

    2. Hmm... When I tried to run Halie's End Of Days 2 from ALX.exe, I had used "noalexander" command too, but custom battles were still unavailable...

    1. So, special siege engines would be an impressive gift) Hope you'll add them in next version!)

EOD 2 is made on BI not RTW. It doesn't use BI-specific features but I don't know why ...... IBFD failed too, but Arthur worked.

I was thinking if it was possible to use this feature in RTW mods.

I have discovered that "With Fire and sword" mod - http://internetwars.ru/OiMNew/Images...hemEnglish.htm already has such unit! There can be found cossack's carts named "voz", which were created specially for blocking enemy cavalry on the battlefield.

Alas, that circle was a static object. I'll be surprised if anyone makes it possible to use it afoot.

Yes true. Well having the possibility to put it on the battlefiled would be a good choice.
