    Default Camera Control

    In standard MTW2 if you move the cursor to the edge of the screen the camera scrolls in that direction, so you can control the camera entirely with the mouse and mouse wheel without touching the keyboard. I've just fired up this mod for the first time and it's great, but I'm finding the battles cumbersome because I have to use the mouse and the keyboard to scroll around the battle, which I'm finding very clumsy.

    I've tried all the camera settings in the "Options" menu, but they seem to make no difference. Am I missing something here? What do I need to do to get the camera to be mouse-controlled only?

    Thanks in advance.

    I dont think I changed anything relating to the mouse controls. It's probably just a setting into the cfg.

    I would suggest opening your M2 vanilla cfg, and your fkoc cfg and comparing all variables relating to control.

    Thanks. But ... "cfg"? Could you assume I'm a real doofus here and explain?

    Open for_king_or_country.cfg and medieval2.preference.cfg then look at these lines:

    [camera]
    default_in_battle = rts
    move = 50
    restrict = 0
    rotate = 50

    About window mode.

    Open for_king_or_country.cfg in notepad, scroll down and change:

    windowed = true

    windowed = false

    I have. I've searched high and low. I can find no such file. I can find a "Config" folder, with lots of other folders in it with titles like "Defaults", "Localistaion", "News" etc. But no file with the title you gave.

    Edit: I have no F drive, so I have no idea how I can look for it there. I'm looking in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval Total War II and C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval Total War II\for_king_and_country

    Yes, in the

    drive letter:/Medieval II Total War directory there should be several .cfg files, including...for_king_or_country.cfg

    As you describe, it should be in your...
    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval Total War II

    directory.

    Okay - found it. For some reason my system decided it was an Outlook file (?!), but I found a way to open it with Notebook, changed the "Windowed" setting to "false" and problem solved.

    Thanks for your patience guys. This is a great mod BTW.
