Need help ( Crashing battle ! )

I have a huge prob, i thought i had an atumatic save but i don't. And here's the prob, i lunched the turn and then saved at the first battle and left the game ( i sometiemes do that and i have no problems). But this time, when i load my game, this a navy battle; i automake the fight , win it and then, when i click on the "V" to close the stast of the fight, the game crashes ! I've tried everything; retreat impossible, auto-win cheat, zoom-dezoom, reload game, restart computer. Nothing works, and it's like i lost one of my saved game because the latest one is 3 days ago !( i played a lot during these days).
Should i shoot myself up or do you have an idea on how to avoid or solve the problem ?

You saved in middle of the enemy turn?

I saved before the fight ( when you chose what to do ). (Rebel navy attacked).

That does not answer my question. Enemy can attack only on their turn. Which means you saved while enemy nations were taking their turns? Sorry for confusion, but just trying to clear it up

How far are you in your campaign?
Did you update your videocart drivers?
Did you ever play an other mod?
Did you forget to load the script if you are using it?

Just some questions to get a better idea on your problem.

I've almoast killed Carthage, took some provinces in Gaul and Greece, i never played another MOD, i have some video problems and my game is unstable (often crashes but only when loading( the red bar)). Still when it crashes i simply load the game several times and then it works, but this time, it crashes AFTER the fight; when igo back to map. I think the script is loaded. And for the other question, yes it is during the ennemy movement turn, but as i said, i already did that many times and vener had this problem.

And do you load the script every time when you load a game?

and i didn't have the load script for quiet a few games, how can i be sure it wasn't working ?
I've started a new campain.
I installed the game in another folder than the default one btw, and downloaded files in it by mistake (erm, but moved them ^^').

There is a small chance that saves during the endturn phase corrupts. Therefor, if you have several battles during the endturn, use several different saves!
I find my game being more stable since I run it in windowed mode, check the FAQ-thread for howto do it.
Also, finally, game crashing after battle is a gamebug... Doesn't happen very often, but is annoying enough. It can happen due to game having leaked resources due to being run for too long. Depending on which hardware you have, a reboot of the computer, or restarting the game can help. The other crashes though seems like hardware issues, as you said.

Thx for this answer, the window mode would be a good thing anyway. Well, i would go for the gamebug... I'll start a new campain then. ( i prefer having a good start than losing 6 hours of playing lol =p). Oh and btw, i have many saves ( that's why i didn't save very often this time). Can it make the game more unstable ?

If you use the script, you need to load the script every time when you start your game. If you forget to load it it will cause problems.

Is the script very important ? I mean, you're talking as if we could play without it.

You can play the game without the script, BUT you should know the script brings more challenge and fun. Next thing, if you load it once, you have to do so every time you load a game, otherwise you might get some nasty problems in the future.
Most problems in game are because people forget to load their scripts. Your PC specs are good enough for the game, so problem lies elsewhere. Save your savegame, and try installing a fresh
