DAVOS, Switzerland – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stalked off the stage at the World Economic Forum, red-faced after verbally sparring with Israeli President Shimon Peres over the fighting in Gaza.
Erdogan was angry after being cut off by a panel moderator after listening to an impassioned monologue by Peres defending Israel's recent offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Erdogan declared to Peres: "You are killing people."
A finger-pointing Peres told Erdogan at Thursday's panel that he would have done the same if rockets had been falling on Istanbul.

It is a natural behavior once there was an unfair debate in terms of speech of time and a valid reaction against a poor moderator.

PM of Turkey represents the Republic of Turkey and any actions to him directed to Republic of Turkey. I think that is something simple and same for every country. So a moderator or any political figure should not try to interrupt his speech.

I think he showed some real strength to comment on Israel's operations

But I guess fighting Kurds is counterterrorism, while fighting Palestinians is murder.

We have no problems about Kurds we have problems about terrorist.

I believe bringing some EU and UN statistics is not relevant at that issue. I agree we had some major problems about human rights in Turkey but nowadays things are better. Note that these cases are personal and every country in the world had such cases. Turkey made some mistakes about fighting against terror about Kurdish citizens. Governments till 2000 tried to compensate their loses economically. For instance Kurdish TV was founded for communication.

All above it is against humanity to use some chemical bombs at densely populated areas

This begs the question. Would you have pushed the same course of action if it was your city being shot at?

I know I would. And while I can see where people are coming from with their condemnations of Israel, I can't join them because I know it'd be hypocritical.

Because Hamas are religious fanatics who would rather become martyrs than to see peace on account of being so socially retarded the only way they could score was if they were given 72 virgins in heaven.

Well, unfortunately that is one of the reported reasons for many suicide bombers. Uneducated and socially/sexually frustrated.

Or because they are freedom fighters against an illegal occupation and would rather die than surrender to the power that holds there people in a massive concentration camp called the gaza strip.

I happen to think they are stupid, but the issue can be seen 2 ways, and both have validity.

but they are not freedom fighters nor do they are in a concentration camp nor being occupied nor being any smart by bombing civilians and wanting to die.

what is the difference between the fanatizm, terrorism and freedom fighting? You call PKK terrorists as freedom fighters but you call Hamas as religous fanatics. PKK killed turkish troops several times and when Turkey attacked them in northern iraq you said "Turks are killing innocents in Iraq". But when the conditions changed, when Israel became the attacker and Palestinian people bacame the victim. Everything changed and Hamas turned to a religous fanatic and Israel turned to country who tries to save their citizens. You and your two sided minds...

But the Americans have the right? They made Iraq the new hell on the world. What TF The UN and your country did against USA and Great Brittain about the murders in Iraq? You said Turkey is the first one; but what did you and your country do about the second or the third or the last? Ohh come on we all care about what is happening in Palestine it is not matter of nationality of religion it is matter of humanity. I think Erdoğan really cares about Palestine.

But you know he is a man of conflicts. One day he invited the Sudanese PM to Turkey who is an absolute killer and the other day he is defending the Palestine rights. I think his reaction was emotionally and do not think about an diplomatic issues. He increased his popularity and I really do not care about his popularity. As a politician I hate him but as a person I respect him

If my memory does not confuse me, it was not Turkey that invaded Iraq.

If you mean that Turkish attacks/incursions at Northern Iraq, PKK terrorist organisation camps. You must know that there is no reported civilian casualities at there. Pardon me, only one civilian casuality reported by PKK sources. Now compare that to 1400+ civilians, children consists of 1/3 of that number.

Now, Peres says what if Istanbul bombed. Gentelmen, Istanbul was bombed several times, by al-quada, by PKK terrorists. What we did? Did we kill enemy civilians and children to avenge/defend these attacks? If any state officer who kills/attack civilian, he should be judged in justice.
