Default How do I get rid of the white "HOTFIX #1" from the hotfix.exe?

    Hi DLV team,

Thanks again for an awesome installment of an already great mod!

It bugs me to see the "Hotfix #1" lettering on the splash screen of DLV 6.0, How do I remove this?

    Thanks again,
    hellas1

Go to your DLV/data/menu folder and you'll find a few pics in there you can convert to tga and rename 'splash' (they might be for previous versions, but I know what you mean about the 'hotfix' scrawl).

You can use any picture you like as long as it's saved as a 1024x768 tga called 'splash' . There's a really nice set of alternative background pics and a loading screen in the sub-mods section. I'm having lots of addictive fun making my own for various mods.

    Hope it helps.

If what he just told you didn't help, then you're probably never gonna figure it out.

    Good luck.

    Hi hellas,

The original splash pic is in there called 'Kopie von splash' - it'll probably say version 5.8 - but more preferable than the hotfix logo, I think. You can alter the 5.8 to whatever you like in a graphics programme.

If you haven't got a graphics programme, I recommend Paint.net - it's a free download that does much the same as basic photoshop, and is very user friendly. A google search should get you to their site. As I said, you can use any picture you like - the original Medieval game had a nice Joan of Arc wallpaper that I was always fond of, for instance. Add some medieval style text saying 'DLV version whatever' and you're away.

If you're really stuck for inspiration let me know your favourite faction and I'll make one for you over the weekend and upload it.

You can also check this mini-mod
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=217024
If you find a picture you like, then you can rename it to splash.tga and you will be OK
    Cheers
