Can't install 1.3 patch

Everytime i try , the installation stops in the middle and when i try to load M2TW it crash .

Computer specs? Operating system? Is 1.3 download, Kingdoms, or Gold edition? Sounds like you need to uninstall the game and reinstall it all at once. If you changed anything before you try to install 1.3, it will do this, also.

It happens either with the single patch or when i install Kingdoms . I have reinstall the game five times , nothing . Windows XP Professional 1.71 GHZ 512 MB RAM

How much free harddisc space do you have? Your system is actually a little below specs if you're planning on loading Kingdoms. Kingdoms also requires directx 9.0c to the latest update and .Net framework 3.0 or higher. What other programs like dvd burning software have you installed?

How did your update to v1.2 go? If your v1.2 update is hosed, v1.3 won't go well. Lots of folks can't update to v1.2 for some odd reason. See the v1.2 threads.

The strange thing is I was able to use the v1.2 update countless times with no issues. But with my new install of XP SP3 on a new drive no matter what I try it's no go.

I installed it on XP SP2 but I have had no need to try it on XP SP3. I also had no problem with Vista but I have had no reason to try it on Vista SP1.

I know that Ballmer's kids changed the code enough that it wouldn't update until I got a fix for my AMD processor. They also disabled the ATI feature of being able to turn the picture on its side. I'm starting to think they changed things enough to make memory allocation a bigger deal as in being more a memory and resource hog.

I feel the original minimum specs for this game are now meaningless. I believe that today's specs for this game have doubled just because of Windows overhead.

Can anyone refute this?
