Default Republicans in the House Grow a Pair

The house Republicans today unanamously voted against the stimulous package. 11 patriotic democrats voted with them. This mean the republicans had bi partisan backing while Obuma had only partisan backing. All this talk by Obuma of bi partisanship is just that.

Hm, I started ignoring American politics after Barack Hussein Obama won the election, I did not know the composition of the house.

They should add some folks that aren't rich, old, white males, and then they could prolly have more votes, eh?

Well Jeb, both at their convention, and at their rallies, all I ever saw was a sea of white faces.

Not anywhere close to the demographics of America at all.

I don't call the GOP racist...I just call them behind the times and somewhat stupid.

Wait, you're saying that Republicans voting for a stimulus package under Bush and then not voting for a stimulus package under Obama is non-partisan?

Yes. Obama has failed. When president has already spent a whole 7 days in the office, it's time to evaluate.

Gee, you sure are unbiased there Rush. 'People who oppose this are unpatriotic' hasn't worked since the '70s.

The USA is not a democracy.

We should be focusing on helping out the people who pay the taxes, not the businesses that failed.
There are no tax cuts in the democrats constituency payoff bill. There are only welfare payments that are masquerading as tax cuts. They get away with calling it that because the democrat are pretending/lying that they are refunding the Social Security and Medicare taxes. But those deductions are not taxes, they are insurance premiums. And no money is going to be diverted from the bankrupt Social Security trust fund or Medicare programs to make these welfare payments. It is all being borrowed against future tax receipts.

The republican argument that there should be more tax cuts and less spending is because 1. they have taken the idea of stimulus seriously and seek to put money into americans hand very quickly. The most extreme proposal in the Gohmert plan, which suspends all income and payroll deductions for 5 months and approximately equals the $850 billion the democrat have proposed.

Why do democrats oppose that? The have in their hands the power to enact nearly their entire agenda in one fell swoops. The democrats have turned the word stimulus to means paying off their voters, and they seriously don't want you to catch on. Their stimulus is drawn out over a few years with very little of it being spent in the next 18 months. It once included $500 for a birth control support tbut was scrapped after Nacy Pelosi flubbed a reporters question on how birth control was a stimulus and revealed it to be a domestic eugenics program. But it still includes such things as laptops for teachers, a payoff to community agitator groups like ACORN and so on.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

Jesus Christ, then what the hell was Obama and the Democrats thinking? This was their chance to give us, the people, some real help and they squandered it on public works spending! Public works only multiplies debt and creates temporary, not permanent jobs. At least FDR provided an emergency relief fund for the people. Yeah, it put us into a lot of debt and his other public works stuff didn't do very good at pulling us out, but it directly helped the people pay some of their bills.

My goodness, the one time the Republicans in Congress actually come up with something substantial that might actually give some direct aid to the people it gets stamped out by the desire to rebuild urban centers. Well guess what, that doesn't really affect those of us who live in rural communities. Why is it that every President only makes legislation that benefits one group and not the other? Why can't we have someone who find solutions that try to benefit all Americans, not just certain groups. And Jesus with the bail-outs! Those companies just need to fail! Just let them go. Yes, a lot of jobs will be lost, but they will be replaced with smarter and more responsible corporations. That is one of the few things I agree with Obama on, that Wall Street and big corporations are now going to have to relearn their priorities and have more responsibility that just trying to make a profit in any way possible.

You know I really hope that what Obama does will be successful, I really do. But it doesn't look good.

But there is always a dissenting opinion. Never forget that. It is just as important as the majority and shouldn't be discounted.

As long as its patriotic dissent...
