I'm curious about that plumed helmet - it looks like leather, is it historical?

Well, most likely no. If it is then only dudes with alot of $$$ could have worn them due to the added design to it.

Oh ok, didnt know that. Sorry for the LONG reply though. I have a festival named Carnival (where people party in the major cities and the capital for 4 days) and I went to a church camp which was somewhat cool. I also had some school work I had to get out of the way as well too.

Im from the Caribbean. What we call "Carnival" and what u call carnival is 2 different Carnival. Our carnival is more like your mardi-gras. Execept it has no bead collecting. Its just about wine-ing (you can search for that on youtube) and having fun in the capital or major cities. I dont think you would like it.

In order to parade & dance in the streets (with police and security protection) you need to join a band. When you join you buy a costume and then u can parade/ dance in your band. Women virtually wear bikinis in the major cities and capital from Sunday to monday. Then Tuesday is what we call juve (i forgot how to spell it but its frankish [french]). Where people paint themselves and throw mud at people. The best juve band it has (as most people say that play it) is called blue devils. Name of the band speaks for its self as u paint urself blue, get some horns, mud and start throwing.

If u want to be vagrant in the streets of my capital (although theres a hotel not to far from where the action normally is) or major city then u can go ahead. Im not into that kinna crap. Oh yeah Carnival is every febuary normally the second week in the month.

If u do visit our country then visit it for food. We love our bellies a bit too much. We have good parties as well but encoraging u in that is a different story as well so u choose what u want to do.

I cant see myself dancing with wierd people in the middle of the street half naked with other half naked people in the road, in the captial or major city of my country. Let alone staying there for 2 days then on ash wedensday go to the beach where you do the same thing just that you have sea water near by.
