I have always wondered about this
Do you guys think that it helps your income has you are on an Island???? Even if it gives you like an inch of road between your city and your port??

when you queue it and then look into settlement details you can see that it adds some income but not very much.

Curious to know whether you actually don't get any sea trade if you don't connect the port with a road. Anyone seen this?
You do get a small bonus because the road connects the settlement to the port, but it's certainly not as big a bonus as on settlements which get connected to neighboring regions.

In Soviet Russia you want Uncle Sam.
Just do it cause it'll save MP when using them for that one time after you conquer the place (and make a garrison).
They'll probably eventually pay for themselves.

Ofcourse. In stead of ploughing through high grass or even forests or deserts, the goodies coming off ships can now travel way faster over a (dirt) road, saving time. As you know, time is money.
