The word "Comic" originally has to do with something funny, and sometimes ironic, and that is the problem. Because it does not work if you mix it with religion. I once read a theory that explained why it comes that the more religious people are, the less humour they have. Jokes often make fun of the authorities, and jokes often show that there are two sides of a story. And to be religious, you have to accept one authority over your natural reason and to believe that in this case, there is only one truth. The more religious you are, the less funny you are. And those comics are a special case. I love them somehow, even if they also make me sick when I read them too much because of this extremely naive and stupid worldview. But I think they are valuable to understand what some very dangerous fundamental christians believe. In my bookshelf, they would stand right next to nazi propaganda, and my children would not be allowed to read them until they are old enough.

Oh, I dunno. I'd think that'd be an attractor: use our religion, and you'll get a raging hard-on.
Though I think the reason the guy has a tiny dick in the painting is, he's not alive yet, thus there's not blood pumping into his wang. So, it wouldn't appear big even if his erection was gigantic. It'd just look like a loose wad of flesh.

I havent really seen any entertainment that is "faith based" that is tolerable ( that is when it is designed for entertainment, we can all admit to the artistic value of chants of all the various religions and the songs that accompany them)

now given that this may have been ancient entertainment, it definitely holds that quality of antiquity and for that reason alone is extremely valuable

but I think its because they are trying to come at something from an angle that is irrelevant in the context, I mean why do you need christian comics? or muslim comics? or etc music of that nature, you really dont, its a market and people are exploiting it.

Not true what if someone has a belief in a god that they belive that words can no longer describe it so they turn to making a symphony or song or even a comic. What ever they belive is the best way to express there faith. Now i happen to think that alot of the early christian ( and muslim and buddhist) music is very good. Some say it is because the faith put into it is like emotion on steroids. (<--- thats actually my analogy lol)
