Do you guys ever cheat?

Well do you? I only ever use the character_reset as its ridiculous when a ship gets stuck next to another, when in real life they would sail right past. Also I occassionally use the remove_trait, to alter a general that annyoys me. For instance, when I'm building a high dread general and he suddently getst eh trait chivalrous night, so annoying!

So apart from those two - character_reset, remove_trait - I dont use any other. Not even toggle-fow (I think it ruins the game personally).

Only when I want to prove something or try a fun game... other then that I only use toggle_fow (almost always) because the AI has the same thing (how else would the Ai almost always walk directly to your underguarded settlements!?)

I only use the auto_win defender if I have an army in a fleet of ships and are attacked by an even larger fleet. Not because I couldnt replace the loss, but because I cant be arsed so waste time raising an army all over again.

I'm usually very strict about not EVER cheating at video games but I do allow myself to use on cheat in this game. Occasionally, depending on how often I play a faction, I'll toggle_fow for about 10 seconds at the very beginning to the campaign to refresh my memory about where exactly all the rebel settlements are. I always have a pretty good idea of where they all are, but I hate wasting a turn or two because I misjudged a settlement that was bordering a river or something and now I have to back track to a bridge. It's quicker than loading an old game where everything is revealed and I pretty much know where they all are any way so I don't consider it to be a big deal.

Sometimes toggle_fow. And on very rare occasions auto_win or add_money. Since I have played lots of campaigns, the winning of a campaign is no longer a challenge so I try to create certain scenarios just to have fun. One other reason can be a computer crash just when I have won a major battle and I don't want to replay that battle. By auto winning I then lose more men then during real battle. But that is life.

Well sometimes I take a new campaign and cheat my way through the land, raping every faction I come across. But I only do that when im REALLY bored, other then that I never cheat.

i use toggle_fow, add_population, process_cq, and add_money. sometimes i also use auto_win with my navies. my armies are indestructible though!

yeah because you use money cheat to make them indestructible

In some games i do it , last example , i was playing with the Danes , and didn't want to complete the unrealistic campaign objectives of 45 regions , basically , i just wanted to have Sweden-Danemark-Norway-Finland only and defend Scandinavia until the end of the game (Renaissance ) .

I had to cheat simply because the computer probably did , sending big armies that he couldn't possibly afford given the few territories he had (Polish with only 4-5 not so developped regions and not much sea trade ) and the fact that to attack he had to cross my ally territories (HRE, my ally didn't react ) , not to mention that he had a huge fleet , bigger than mine whereas i had made 3 succesful crusades and could sack a couple of rich cities in the middle East and was dominating baltic trade .

So i cheated to have quicker access to a few "high period units" and added a bit of cash , not that i'm proud of it , but if you plan to play with only 4-5 regions and defend them until the end , sometimes you need that extra bit of help that my ally did not give me

i just use toggle_fow, mostly to see how nations are developing, also so that I do not send a huge army to attack what is supposed to be an enemy city when it is actually an ally I do not want to lose.

process_cq only because its stupid to think that a city can only build one thing at a time....i wish you could fill up the query and each was built over the next turns instead of one at a time

If I may point out oe thing for it to work you ned to do like this; add_money and then the amount the max you can put in each time is 60 000 florins, I think :hmmm:
