I'm calling them Macedonians because that is the internationally recognised way of refering to people from FYROM. Does it matter who the 'real' Macedonians are? It's not like any existing culture has anything in common with Hellenistic Macedon. Its ironic that the Greeks, who were so snooty about Macedonians, calling them northern barbarians, during the classical period, are now so desperate to claim that identity for themselves. My advice would be to chill out just a little bit.

Seriously? If you keep buying into that bullcrap about Skopjans being macedonians, I'm afraid Skopje will find no peace within its borders. Not only is stealing another people's identity a grave miscalculation on their part, they are simply not powerful enough to back their up.
