I'm playing main campaign with the CIV option.... i am about 30 turns in my campaign an no wars no attacks from other factions.... not even between them.... i know this CIV option is more passive but any ideas when the war-declarations begin???????

30 turns in and no conflict between factions at all? I've never seen this happen.

Yeah Also at me happened on Time With Basileia Romaion But Then In The 1200 The Wars Started... so try to Pass The Year 1200 and Probaly There Will be wars

i am playing kiev with civ on. the normal campaign ("non historical")


-4 turns after start i receive a dignataire from pagan lithuania that war would start if i dont pay... 200 fl.

in way of answer i attack minsk (they had conquered it from rebels in a blietzrieg) and take the city.

its about year 1230, that is 100 turns. i am still at war with lit.
the only way to stop their continuous stream of full stacks was to conquer their main castle, destroy all their buildings, jump to a city, destroy it to the ground too, then attacked their capitol and also burned it down.

in the meantime, novgorod and polland were both attacking me.

in the world, the irish and english have signed their second peace agreement, the germans are in war with the italians, the french have also signed peace with england and spain, but started one with flanders, the muslims allied together and defeated armenia, portugal is in war with milan... the danish and norwegians are attaking everyone on sight...


i wonder sometimes if i had hit total war.. but i am pretty sure i didnt.




are you playing VH/VH? if not, restart campaing on those settings because lower difficulty means the game not being played as it is supposed to.

Take it as an opportunity to build up a solid base of loyal states. When the huge armies roll in from the first nation to attack you, you'll be glad you did.

I've been starting alot of new games due to getting a feel of all the factions I'm interested in before i go for the long haul and all the patches.

One thing I've noticed is some games its on from the get go and others it takes alot longer. Atm I'm playing kiev and alternatively to ivanhoex, at 1202 only a few factions have taken a neighbouring rebel town. So it doesn't seem faction specific either. Maybe start again if your not too far in?

It maybe helps to attack another nation early on, let the AI know you mean business. Playing as venice I killed off milan before 1200, since then HRE, France and Byz have been less than friendly towards me. It's been constant war since I started on milan.
