Battles won't work!

I've just installed plain M2TW, and it all works fine (campaign wise) but not the battles, when I start the battle it crashes.

the exact same thing happens for me and i cant understand why, and it sucks cause although the campaign is good you cant play some of the best bits of the game. im so frustrated

Did either one of you unpack it and delete the two geography files mentioned in the unpacker readme? What does your system.log.txt show?

No it hadn't been unpacked. Whats worse, i've installed Kingdoms and both won't even play now.

When I installed them, I was interrupted at least 15 times by a message saying something about the file it wanted to install to the computer, didn't exist on the disk!
