I think he will have to screw up very hard to get a serious negative reaction from the people, he has Oprah Winfrey behind him. That being said he can almost only dissapoint when you hear peoples expectations for him.

I'd have to literally do nothing else but :wub: for everyday I'm in the Oval Office to be able to do worse than Mr. Bush. From the looks of it I don't think the fellow actually sat down for 2 hrs and had a thorough reflectance on what he was planning to do for the next 8 years. Maliha and Sasha could be my VP and SoS and I'd still do better. Heck, Maliha and Sasha could be POTUS and VPOTUS and do arts and crafts all day and still be better than the last 8 years.

The unity of the Republic has never been so strained as it is right now, and the people are hanging on every word and action Obama speaks or takes.

In this question anything that furthers attacks the 1st and 2nd amendments can be very explosive.

Anything that further encourages a uni-sex society and one where man and man are recognized as husband and hussie by federal dictate will be interpreted as an attack on those sections of the population who hold their religions dear to them. Those people who are afraid to send their kids to school because of a teacher who believes they have the authority to make them read pro-gay literature.

I am pleased that we still are allowed because when the day comes we cant there could be troubles.

1776-1780, 1810 and 1811, 1850-1870, 1913-1917, 1930-1931, 1939 to 1941, 1950-1964. Just a couple of years of where we were just a little more strained as a country and as a people then we are today.

How old are you? I was not aware you were around when all these strains took place.

And dont forget to put 2009 - 2013 on that list.

You forgot to mention the years during which the depression settled in. All during the 30s. You forgot to mention WW2. Our country wasnt exactly unified during the war like the press would have you believe.
