Icon8 Bug with mutual dependencies in EDB!

    Hi all!

I noticed that the following type of dependencies cause an initial building on camaign map to be created using rebel as the faction creator (affect culture & text naming).

    buildingA ...
barracksA requires ... and not building_present buildingB

    buildingB ...
barracksB requires ... and not building_present buildingA

Anyone know how to work around the bug? :hmmm:

it's because your dependency is a 'not'

    which is a known problem

Note 1: Not conditionals (even if true) and positive conditionals that result false seem to break the culture/faction for the slave faction if those buildings are placed at game start - see this thread: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=81322
    from the EDB guide here:
    http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=50439

I'm not sure how you can get round it - you obviously need a way of controlling the buildings without the 'not' - would need to know more about what you're trying to achieve - can you link them to requiring a certain type of temple each? - if you can only build one type of temple per city that would force the choice.

This applies also if the are buildings placed with a campaign script?

No. I just changed all initial barracks to be created by script and now it works fine
