    Default sfx.dat

    Hey peeps
When I try to install Medieval 2: Kingdoms I get an error saying:

"Error: invalid or missing target \Games\Medieval II\data\sounds\sfx.dat update cannot be continued"

I would really appreciate any kind of help!!!

Where did you buy Medieval2 and where did you buy Kingdoms? What else have you installed since you installed Medieval2?

I bought MT2 at a shop and I bought the Kingdoms box from an onlineshop. I havn't really installed anything special because the computer is new and formated.

If they are the same language as in US Medieval2 and US Kingdoms, there should be no problems unless you have a bad dvd. Even new, check for scratches, dirt, fingerprints, etc.

If they check out okay, try to uninstall and reinstall both Medieval and Kingdoms. If you get the same error in the same place, contact Sega support for replacements.
