Ambush battles causing CTD

Does anyone know of a bug with ambushing battles (both when ambishing or being ambushed) which cause CTDs?

Ambushes shouldn't cause any different CTDs then a normal battle would.

The crash always happens during the loading sceen.

Its difficult to test properly as everytime I reload the AI doesn't fall for the ambush, in fact i can't get him to fall into the ambush no matter how many times i replay the turn.

Have you ever had a successful amush in EB?

I'd first check the text file for the factions involved to see if the tag has been lost for the ambush string; but would have thought many would have reported the error if this was the case. I do not have EB dloaded or installed so cannot check. This would cause a CTD in the scroll though, so if by the loading screen you mean the actual loading screen then I am not sure what would cause that different from any other battle.
