When will the marian reforms happen? Because i have now almost defeated carthage, they have only one city in the desert left. (Not one of their starting settlements) Btw, i play 7.0

marian reforms are commonly held to happen when you own all of carthages starting provences and have built imperial palaces in those areas
so if you don't have imperial palaces in every former cathage provence it won't happen until you do - i think that you need palaces in italy as well but i'm not sure

And don't forget to build the royal waterpark in at least 2 of the provinces...they have to be in cities with names longer than 7 letters or it won't work...or your game is broken...then you have broken it broken

@tombl: just make sure you have ALL carthage starting settlement(also the ones in iberia) and build them up so that they all have imperial palaces

Some catch up information.

The imperial palaces will be released when these cities have 24000 citizens in them. Imperial palaces take 16 turns to build.

Thanks for the information, i knew how to build palaces I know the game But Carthago has 25.000 ppl but i can't build a palace. I don't know if someone else also has this problem?

Btw, i don't use cheats.. I play on H/H

Try playing the game like this. And use house rules.

8. Always play SPQR:TW on M/M settings, unless too easy then play harder, but it should be too easy if you don’t blitz or use the Garrison script.

You will enjoy your game the most if you play it on these settings, script and with house rules. The game is perfectly balanced so this is the best way to go.

Tombl, the Carthaginians may already have built Royal Palaces, these are equivalent to Imperial ones.
Also, you need the great forum built to be able to get the highest palace, but I guess you knew this already

Hmm, i guess i will start a new campaign than on M/M (I was wrong last post, i play H/M)
I will not yet use full house rules, only how to build legions etc. I will first succeed in my first campaign before i will start a campaign with house rules..
