    Default rebelling generals

    quick question.
several of my generals rebelled (bad traits i guess, such as YOU ARE NOT MY KING) and only by expelling them from the cities / castles they were running I could restore public order in those cities / castles. Now they are standing around near by the cities. I thought I could get them back on track by letting them lead armies, but in fact they won't move. One general moves 1 step per round, the others do not move at all.
They generally do not bother me a lot, although I guess they are wasting my money. Can I disband them? Or is there a way to get them back on track?
    thanks for any hint.

2 generals don't move (on the campaign map). I point a way for them, but the line is red right from the first step. 1 general moves 1 step per round maximum.

That´s a feature in SS, I suppose. When the general gets angry at you, he turns into an annoying brat, who does nothing cause you didn´t give him candy. This results in refusal to move and they can even lock themselves into the city they occupy. Ultimately they supposedly turn to rebel.

I´m not absolutely sure how it works, or is this caused by some SS submod (I´m confused with all these mods...). But this has happened to me too. Nice touch, adds depth to the characters.

im pretty sure thats to do with your leaders authority, and how important the mentioned general feels. they lock themselves in cities and can even have a trait sayin 'your not my king!' and basically throw a tantrum

thanks for all your advise. it's correct. luckily finally Emperor Heinrich passed away from old age, and within 2 rounds 2 rebelling generals were reconciled (1 being the new ruler... just like real life :-) ) and 1 just became a real rebel that I attacked and destroyed 2 rounds later.
good lesson for me and it really adds to reality. although I believe the possibility to execute rebelling generals would be a nice feature for future mod extensions.

Unfortunately you can only assassinate them after they become rebels. Can't change assassins to kill your own faction members.

Have you been attacking and sacking or eradicating fellow muslims or christian rebels/factions?

Yes, i thought about it and that was probably the reason for low loyalty and bad reputation of the previous emperor: i sacked every city i invaded to quickly earn money... since then have changed and do not opt for sacking that often.

So the only way to save HRE is to kill Heinrich right away? :-)

I know some guys in Florence who can do it fast and cheap.
