The human race is spreading across the face of the Earth. Clans and alegiances are forged and broken. The armies of Rome march across Europe. In the East, the Chinese states are restless, the forces of Japan grow stronger and the Indian lords consolidate their reigns. In the Americas the Incas and Maya develop their civilisations.

    Will all of this remain?

Or will one mighty power rule the world?

Through more than two thousand years of history, you will guide some of the greatest civilisations the world has ever seen. From the Iron Age and into eras not yet come.

    This is:

The Age of Mankind: Total War

    HOLY SHIAT my friend! :shocked

Thats going to be a lot of work. Thats really exactly what my friend has been talking about. Everything. So you plan to have a whole world map? That covers it all? Thats a big undertaking. Don't have any time to really go to your forum, so sorry if all this is answered there. In the process of packing. Sounds really tough.

My blessings upon you *pope* Trust me, you all are going to need them *wink*

Once I get settled into my new place I'd love to look at it some more, thoroughly. Im working with EB now, although I havnt done much at all :sad , one skin so far. lol, havn't had any time as of late, lotta other stuff. But once I get new place and free up some time if you need a skinner to help out I would if I can bide the time. Love to see some Inca's. Later

This reminds me of Age of Empire in a way. However, if you plan on making a map covering the entire Earth, I fear you'll break the game mechanics. It might result in a AI behaving even weirder than usual. Nonetheless, including the Incas and Mayas is probably the most original idea I've heard of so far.
    Good luck *wink*

We now have 2 units for the Inca up and running and our excellent skinner (richyg13) is now starting on some more for the Maya. We desperately need a modeller to make more progress however - if we do not get one the mod will not be made.

We are prepared to accept beginner modellers - but some experience would be useful.

That reminds me of Age of Empires (One!). This sounds great, if you can pull it off it will be graet. Good luck getting it together!

Zuwxiv - Thanks for the feedback! We will first be releasing a complete Americas edition - with all the technological eras built in - as a campaign between the Iroquois, the Crow, the Apache, the Meso-Americans (Aztec and Mayan) and the Inca + some other minor tribal groups as rebels including Amazons. An Asian component will follow with the Chinese, Japanese, Mongols, South East Asians, Indians and Polynesians. Lastly we will release the completed mod including all the factions listed above and the European factions: The Celtic and Germanic States, the Eastern Europeans, the Romans, the Hellenic States, the Persians and the African tribes (which are yet to be finalised. If you know of anyone who would be interested in helping could you refer them to us?

    Provinces, Settlements and Maps
These maps show the basic territories of the factions. A date will be provided when available:

    The Roman Empire

    400CE

(Teal areas may end up as Greek, except Egypt...)

    Fall of the Roman Empire

(Anglo-Saxons = Celtic and Germanic States)

    The Hellenistic States
    Athens, Constantinople/Byzantium, Sparta, Corinth etc.

The Chinese Kingdoms (Wei, Shu Han and Wu)
Please note that this arrangement for China is not chronologically correct, and hence not ideal - but it seems to be the best way to manage the region for gameplay:

    Territories and Cities

    Modern Regions/Prefectures

    The Isles of Japan
Edo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Niigata etc. Sado Island is a must include!

Rough Territories of the Yamato in 400CE

Yamato = Red, Rebels = Blue

    The Mongols

    The Indian Princedoms

    The Polynesian Tribes

The Mayans -or- Meso-Americans (Aztecs may feature as a sub-culture)
    Tenochtitlan

    The Incas (Amazonian tribes Included)
    Machu Picchu

    Inca Empire 1

    South American Outline Map

The North American Tribes (Iriquois, Crow and Apache - maybe)
    Outline Map 1

    The South-East Asian States
    Angkor Wat etc.

The Slavic States (Russia etc. Eastern Europe)
    Moscow etc.

The Celtic and Germanic States (Western Europe)
    London, Paris, Berlin etc.

    The African Tribes
    Great Zimbabwe

    Modern Regions 1

    Climate 1

    The Persians
    Baghdad etc.

This sounds really cool but its impossible to make a map of the entire world for your mod. There is a province limit of something like 220 and cities cannot be more than 50 tiles away from each other without screwing many things up including breaking the AI.

Atheist Peace - I think we can probably reduce the number of cities to around that figure... But we'll have to wait and see what the expansion brings.

Dedakiss - What is ***? But thanks anyway

MeKtHep - See my reply to Atheist Peace.

I think that the main problem you will have to deal with is that in the end you're going to get the Roman Empire with tanks and stealth bombers, and at the start you'll have Great Britain running around in loin cloths. I don't know if its possible, but finding a way to make the states 'evolve' over time might help.
Also, you need the Turks- a notable absence so far, and if you're going to have Germany, France Britain etc you might need an America discernible from the Natives.

    ><sam>< - We will be using a similar system to the Marian Reforms - after a certain date new technology will be available. The Turks are Persia. The question of America is an interesting one... The expansion may allow for new factions to appear if others are destroyed, but at the moment I feel it is more important to have culture based factions rather than nationality based ones.

    Default General Announcement

As our texture artist seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth and we have no modeller as yet this mod is going the way of the Maya. Please, if anyone cares whether or not this mod lives on please say so - WE NEED YOU!

Your hopes are bigger then what you can accomplish. I hate to burst your bubble but doing this will NEVER happen. Even with a team as big as EB, it would take years to do. Stick with the incas.
