    Mod Description
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    Cleit's Portrait Pack
This is my second MTW2: Kingdoms modification. This will replace all of the portraits of family members/generals from the eastern, northern and southern European cultures (Everyone except Middle-Eastern.) Back-up your files if you want to revert. Some of the portraits can be seen in the sample image included. There are 115 portraits. All of the same quality and style. They are screenshots from The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, cropped and resized for Total War use.

As for the Paladin, the battle with the Dragon isn't the danger, it's the battle in the heart that he must be wary of.

Oblivion screenshots, yeah. I originally released this as a portrait pack for Neverwinter Nights 2 and then cropped and resized them for Total War sizes. I also picked out all of the ones that don't fit in. Like cat people.

I thought using images from other games was against the terms of use policy.

    Oh boy, not this nonsense....

These aren't images from another game. They are my screenshots and owned by me. This is nothing in the realm of using data from another game.

Ummm, no, it doesn't quite work that way. Even just as a screenshot, those are assets that belong to Bethesda Softworks. ever hear of Limbo of the Lost? It used screenshots of assets from tons of other games (including Oblivion) as the 2D backgrounds throughout the game. It may be a screenshot but your "ownership" of it doesn't change the fact that it's from another game you do not own rights to.

Discuss the actual mod and not whether or not you think it's legal. K?

Okay. Asides from its dubious legality, it's lazy. Taking another persons work and posting it as "your" submod does not require any original thought or talent. I personally left a mod because they were basically stealing from Mount and Blade. If you want to do this kind of thing in your house, fine. Posting it on here as "your" work is and I'm surprised TWC allows it. That's my two cents.

I think some of the pictures are cool, but please try to add more pictures of folks with helmets and stuff, and in more skin-colours maybe?

i'd like to see more guard helmets, steel helms and maybe even an up close of the knights of the nine helmet. and more stern looking characters.

What a cool idea for a mod.
    + rep for sure.

honestly of all games to use models from, oblivion is not the one. their character creation is one of the most tedious to actually create a normal looking character.

for example, this one took almost 30 minutes:

you know the more thought i give it, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. i saved a few presets that are easier to use as a base than the goofy oblivion defaults, and i can knock off quite a few decent portraits (at least i think so):

This is kinda like the one submod where they took portraits directly from a game called Knights of Honor, and put it in their mod calling it their own stuff.
