Byzantine Highways

Im a first time poster but long time viewer. In the v3.7 thread, under old patch features, it mentions highways for the Byzantines. I've been playing a Byzantine game for a while now, and haven't seen any highways at all. I've searched the forums as best I can and can't find anything about this. Have they been taken out? Or are they only available after the gunpowder event or something? I know this isn't remotely important, but the Byzantines are my absolute favourite Total War faction and highways would make them feel much more Roman. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the ingame building browser under the roads section, and it will tell you if they are infact there, and what settlement size you need to get them.

Yep, the building browser says dirt roads and paved roads, no highways.

I guess there aren't any in the game. Maybe dave will add them to the last patch, 3.8, or will have to remove them from the old patch features.
