Battle Screen help plz!!

I watched on YouTube many players who somehow, during the battle, do something so that their unit cards are placed on the bottom, and the other options (group formations, special formations, etc.) are hidden at the top. can anyone tell me how to do this plz??

In order to enable/do this you need to go to:

C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\preferences

and in the "preferences.txt" file look for the line:

MINIMAL_UI:TRUE....and make sure is TRUE...(instead of ..FALSE)

Start now the game and , voila!!...You can use the keys F5, F6 and F7 to toggle them on/off.

UI it stands for USER INTERFACE , which is obviosuly what it is...:hmmm:

i really don't like that huge user interface that takes up 1/3 of the entire screen.

I don't like the minimal UI, it looks rather stupid with the loose elements. Now if you could get rid of everything in the screen, that would be nice.

but if you got rid of the entire UI, wouldn't it look a bit weird? and even if you put that thing at TRUE, you could still toggle it on and off, right?
