Default descr_sm_factions (Change Primary and Secondary faction colours)

Where is descr_sm_factions.txt located in the M2TW Folder?

I suppose its packed in one of the data packs.(?)

What I wanna do is change the Secondary faction colours to the same as the Primary ones, So that on the minimap in the campaign map the borders will look smoother.

    Help plz?

    /data/ folder.

If you are doing this for Vanilla or an Expansion you'll have to unpack it first.

You must modify the file, it will appear when you unpack your Medieval II TW with the unpacker tool included in game's the main directory. Once done this, search the file inside the main data folder. I think there is no problem for do that.

By the way, don't try to add a file with the same name at data's main folder.

Update the game to 1.2 if you havent.
If you have Kingdoms installed it patched to 1.3 when you installed Kingdoms.

In your M2TW Folder you will find a Tools folder.
Run the unpackall.bat and wait until it is finished.

Then you must delete the geography_new files(there are two) in the data folder or else the game wont run.

You will not have access to the other files, and the descr_sm_factions.

My unpacker doesn't work, it says 'MSVCP71.dll' is missing. It says reinstall but I've done that several times, what do I do??

Look in the main Medieval II Total War folder and it will be there. Copy it and the rest of the msvc*.dll files into the unpacker folder.
