Instant CTD 6.1

After around 6 reinstallations (messed around with the files but too lazy to back up) I found that I can't update my Kingdoms mods anymore (americas, teuton, etc.). I get the "Cannot find localized.pack" file, even though I had uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Turns out this has an effect on SS too. Any help?

I did open the file with notepad, which turns every .pack file into a notepad, if that helps.



EDIT: Stupid Vista. I deactivated UAC and tried it just for the hell of it, and everything worked like a charm.

You must have messed up in the last install. Try reinstalling from scratch.
