    Hey mates,
probably some of you don't know who I am and what I actually do for this mod. When you read out the title of this thread you should know it:hmmm:

It's quite easy to understand: Without your feedback I can't reach my aim to compose a good soundtrack. So it's up to you. Write your opinion about my music. If you don't know the right word for describing something just tell me your emotions. Believe me it will help me the same way as 3 sites of music theory.

My work is divided into 3 parts: Music/Composing, SoundEffects and Trailer

Always keep in mind these samples are early Work in Progress. Thank you.

I don't remember if I mentioned it before. The one feedback I have on the tracks so far, is the transitions I feel could happen more smoothly. I'm making the assumption that the music creation programs used work similar to the program GarageBand. It might help if the different sounds had more of an overlap, as it seems at times that one stops rather abruptly and another starts.

    Thank you for your comment.

Garage Band is an easier version of an Sequencer. For Music Creation you need more than 1 program.
I know what you're talking about, I thought about that quite often. Except the one battle track I will rewrite many passages.

Ok this is one opinion, I hope there are others, too....

    Aber Natürlich

Taikomachine: Very impressive beginning, but I always liked chanting monks combined with Taiko drums
Then in my opinion it drops a bit since somewhere near the 1:00 line a change comes, and before its the same rhytm over and over, maybe this could be done a bit earlier?

Rest of the song Perfect IMO! I really loved the speedups around 1:30 they were really unexpected

MENUlast chanttoheaven(frontend): I liked this one, funny because in the beginning it felt like the rhytm was a little out of place, but hearing it more and more that was a wrong assumption
I do have a question though, at 0:57 a new instrument is heard, what kind of instrument was this?
I have to admit (at least for me ) it sounded out of place with the rest of the song, while the rest of the song had an Asian feeling to it and that instrument didn't really Rest of the song "Great As Is"!

[MOBILE]TheVoiceofTheKoto: Haha Cato I really have to say this, you're not a man that favores boring rhytms are you?
Every time I hear a new piece you give it a magnificent twist, in my opinion this piece is Perfect and doesn't need altering

StratMap Dizzy01: Very good for a strat map music piece, can't really say any more
    I don't hear anything I don't like

StratMap Koto01: Actually same as Dizzy01 for me

StratMap Koto02: Same as the above.

StratMap Koto03: Same, You've got the Strat Map Pieces figured Imo The Koto series are a very nice follow-up to eachother.

Time To March: Ah yes Time to March, Yelü send me this one when I just started to work for the mod. Hmm hard to explain this one therefore I'll tell you what I felt with it.
Its like the drum-rhytm and the flute-rhytm don't match, at least thats how it feels to me. In My opinion thats because of the drum-rhytm, there is some sort of a 'suspense' in between the drum-rhytm that just feels 'wrong',
    I'm sorry I can't explain it better.

    Well that's the list ey?
I've said it a few times, and I'll say it again, this all is just my opinion and I think you're a very talented Sound-Modder/Composer Mate
    Respect!

    You've learned German?
Maybe yes maybe no. I like it, because when you start listening you begin to think it is boring but then...

You're right, the rythm is a little bit out of place. It's a very very early WIP. I just want you to know how the Frontend music, will be.
The instrument is from Asia: I think it was a Ehru, but I can't remeber at the moment.

lol... Really funny: In my opinion this piece is too short and needs a little bit more work. 1:15 bad change of the melody

Thank you. I am happy with that pieces, too.

They match. If you're able to see the sheets for it, you would realize it. But this song is also a little bit boring in my opinion. Just WIP.

You've explained it very well. I understand your point.

Since each culture gets own music, should Japan be categorized in a different culture?

I've posted a list of the available instruments.

Most of them are for the East Asian. There aren't any buyable instruments for the western asian factions. If you want some, try to find them. I did this many times, but without a good result.

As I said before, I will manipulate my instruments, that they sound different for the other cultures. Keep on waiting...

Send me your favorite pieces and I will try to compose similar ones. I am trying to avoid copyrighted material.
I have the time to compose enough music for the game.

Traditional music. Good question. I love Celtic instruments and arabic ones.

But I am studying church music, I hope you know what this is, at the moment.

Hmm to be honest with church music I imagine church bells and singing monks/choirs but thats about all I know about it

And yea I love almost all kinds of Traditional, for Celtic I usually go for songs like the Mystica series or Enya and Clannad(hmm not sure if all these are Celtic) allthough is is also mixed with New Age sometimes.

Hey and I wanted you to hear an Arabian piece, its from the Game 'Stronghold Crusader', and usually Game Music doesn't strike the community as that good, but this is an exception I believe.

Please try these 2 Youtube links, I'm hearing these 2 Arabian Pieces almost daily at this point

First Piece "Sandal Maker", in my opinion a very cool melody which inspires immediatly
    http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=sW-dm5...e=channel_page

Second Piece "Trancefusion", this one starts sad but ends Great(but I am a drum/percussion fan so that could also be a reason )

Ever heard Japanese drumming bands like Kodo, Yamato, or Taiko?(yea the band Taiko, but they also use the instrument )

    I like this one .

But I think it wouldn't fit in the M2TW style xD. At least not really for the campaign map.

@Wundai: I've inserted few tracks from Stronghold Crusader into my Reconquista Soundtrack. Otherwise I wouldn't have had enough time. I really like it.

Church music: Pipe Organ, Choir, Oratorium, Church Orchestra...

@stefan: Awesome stuff. I will keep that in mind...
