    Default Diplomacy problem

    Hi
Now i'm playing SS 6.1, as Egyptians and Pope called crusade on Cairo. So i'm managed to defeat 2 armies[hungary and sicily] and i have send a diplomat, to negotiate. But i was suprised that there isn't "ceasefire" option.
I don't want to be in war with those countries, but i can't sign a truce.

Oh and i'm playing at vh/vh, crusade isn't end yet. Maybe this change something?

Sorry for my bad english. I hope my post can be understand.

As long as there is a crusade or Jihad, you cannot sing a ceasefire, with the kingdoms that are taking part in it, until the Crusade/Jihad is over.

Not sure on that one, was playing Templars a month ago, playing SS 6.1, took Cairo and four muslim factions Jihad against me. Managed a Ceasefire with both the Turks and the Egyptians, even though they still had Jihading armies alive. They moved these to 2 spaces from Cairo and sat there until I assassinated the Generals.

Crusade will last until all Crusading armies are dead, which can take awhile when some are coming on foot across a huge map all the way to Cairo from Europe.

Sad to say, easiest way to deal with it is to vacate the crusade target, let an enemy army take it, make peace with everyone except the new owner of the city, recapture at your convenience and then make peace.

Yea i defended cairo, and crusade has finally ended, but I have slaughtered 2000 troops with faction heir of france and i sent a diplomat to them, but they didn't wanted a truce. I think that signing a truce was way easier in vanilla game. I hope this would be improve in next patch.

99% of things in vanilla were far too easy to do.

Well, that including being backstabbed by 'Allies'. I feel a lot more secure with the excellent alliances of SS, knowing that an alliance will be kept as long as you keep at least some troops near the border places.
