Default Really coool!! but... too expensive...

    Hi

I´ve been playing your mod, just for an hour or so. It looks great. I like very much the traits and the Noble Titles things, and "artifacts" like those the king gives to other generals.
But that really turns me down its the prices..... its far far too expensive.
Is there any way to make the prices lower, like in vanilla?

    The mod looks great!

Prices are as they are from the last modder. I haven't come to that yet and I have already had requests for an increase in cost.

is there any way I can low the cost for the buildings and units?
I have found the archives for doing so for the buildings in the "user modifications thread", but not for the units.

    ----EDIT----
    Hi
I have found in the "descr_strat.txt" file :

    denari 8000
    denari_kings_purse 2500

is "Denari" the inicial amount of money, and "denari_kings_purse" the fixed amoung of money you recive each turn? Could I change (increment) the "denari_kings_purse" for every faction, and making easier recuit units?

thanks , and good mod. I looking for play a looooong campaing, but not as dificult as you have planed, I have too much difficulties in my life, so when I play I try to relax! hehehe

you are playing 2.2 are you? 2.2 has bolstered kings purses. If you are playing 2.0, there is no support for that mod anymore. You would be on your own.

You can mod income from descr_strat.txt

Hello, first time poster- as TLR is my first mod. I am a sick kind of person that enjoys playing 17 human controlled factions in the vanilla long campaign. When I discovered that you could edit the config for two turns per year, (keeping pace with the characters,) and that it was easy to do I was ecstatic and did this immediately. It was not long before I realized that: economies were being maxed out very very early and that economic progress (the addicting part of the game,) dies out quickly, the same cities are being fought over dozens of times, characters are painfully slow, the muslims are far too outnumbered to remain interesting without massive capitulations, merchants are near useless, and full stacks of elite units are the norm not the exception. And oh, the Mongols can get flat turned back if the eastern Catholic player that does well early gets 4 times as many turns to prepare for them.

All of this I realized, and still was in love with the vanilla game, before even looking at mods.

Then I glanced over a few of them and came across The Long Road, which addresses literally everything I was disappointed with in the vanilla game stretched to 900 turns, as noted above. I immediately started up a 21 player hotseat game, and got through half of the first turn before I realized that economic progress is exponential, and this mod stunted it accordingly, so that by the 800th turn, you might still be striving for economic progress, but in the early game, it is much much more than 1/4 as fast. (Being exponential, it's downright daunting.) This is necessary and I understand why, but won't be tackling 21 human players anytime soon.

I believe the economic model to be very good before trying it, and will play a single player campaign and post results and impressions in the AAR during and afterward.

Having said all that, I feel compelled to say THANK YOU FOR STARTING/MAINTAINING THIS AMAZING MOD!!! It worked on my iffy Kingdoms install and can co-exist with manilla, which is the best part of all, IMHO.
The best way to reveal yourself for the attention mongering reality ignoring vanity ridden snot nosed beast that you are is by continuing to make those sweeping trendy but out of touch generalizations that you love so much. In case you were wondering.

well you are right about merchants and rescources they basiclly are useless because the cost to maintian them is more than what they put out.
