Hi all, I'd really like to use the Lithuanian Noble Sons in my armies, however I find that they don't throw their javelins properly, they just throw one or two and then that's it.
Anyone know a fix for it?
Cheers!

do you mean that only one or 2 of the people throw a jav
or that their ammo is limited to 2 throws of the full unit?

One or two people in the unit throws the javelin. I have no idea what their ammo is like, because they hardly use any of it at all!

It's not just that unit. It's a problem with all javelin units. When making the CBUR units I noticed this. To me it seemed that it has something to do with using the javelin units on a hill, possibly the extra range you get from higher ground is messing with the perceived range of the unit.
The merchant cavalry throw their javelins fine, it's just the noble sons. I've yet to come across the problem on another unit.

I'd say it's likely related to the mysterious unit trait 'Throws Javelins before Charge' (or something to that effect).
I haven't done any testing of this myself (I'm not too fond of Javelin units), but I'd say tell them to charge the unit and see if you see a bunch of Javelins go flying.
I haven't seen any other unit than Noble Sons with this unit trait, by the way.
Also worth noting, Noble Sons have an ammo capacity for Javelins of 2 per man, the lowest I've ever seen. Although your stating a different problem occurring, so I don't believe that info applies specifically as a response to your problem.
Tried it, and you don't get 2 volleys, you get like three men chucking one, or preparing to chuck one, and then deciding they won't after all, and faffing around until the enemy manages to close.
And telling them to charge simply makes them stand there, looking at their javelins, scratching their heads...

I just did a test with them in a custom battle and they threw their javelins fine :hmmm:
