Hi - Great work, I've enjoyed the Etrusci game alot and dont want to ruin it just yet so ill test this later in the week.

A tip with torrents though - when using .rar or really any compression it is really useful to split the file into 20 or so smaller files. this allows leechers to download from not only the seeders but other leechers too whom have files they do not. Makes the whole download a considerable amount faster.

P.S. I will seed until final release.

I don't think you need to split files. You don't need to have complete file to seed it.

using winrar the above is pretty self explainitory - there are other archive programs (such as 7-zip, ect), let me know which you use.

iamphet is right, however, this method allows the swarm to leech from the seeders and other leechers a lot easier. When there is a single rar file (which contains 'pieces' of a fairly large size due to the size ratio) the individual larger sized pieces need to be downloaded 100% before it can be seeded – where as now the rar is broken up and each file will contain smaller sized ‘pieces’ (because the ratio is smaller with the file size now decreased), each piece is downloaded 100% quickly and seeded. With more pieces available quicker it is overall an exponential speed increase - note only really works for large files.

And as a final note – only do this for friends and such (or the TWC forums) because the overall mistrust of rar files containing threats will make any public torrent file unpopular. I would personally like to download the .mp3, .avi, ect than the rar alternate based purely on the fact I have no idea what the contents of the rar are until it is downloaded and opened..

When I try megaupload and their download manager my PC detects a trojan or something so I'm not using it.
