Hey guys, heres my guide for Denmark as by my name I think you guys can tell, but i consider myself experianced as Denmark.![]()
When playing as Denmark you have to remember there units are unlocked within the first few turns and can be used well into the Late Era.
Huscarls are the basic foundation of Denmark and Norway alike.
When starting as Denmark you have 10k and 1 1/2 stacks of average units. Start with Scandinavia including Oslo and Stockholm. Convert them to cities and expand in to central Europe takeing Madgeburg, Stettin, Hamburg, Antwerp, Bruges, and maybe even Metz. leave Bruges and Antwerp cities, turn Sttetin into A city, If you hurry, you can take Thorn
before Poland and Russia wich is valuble because it is near A river cutting you off from Poland and is VERY useful for fighting Russia.
Hamburg and
Madgeburg are useful castles supplying you with plenty of huscarls for your immident battle with HRE. For those of you that like to "turtle",
Do all this and you can just build up and wait for HRE or France to betray you. Arhus is very valuble trade and can extremly expand your trade income potential with England. Others like me that are restless for battle
of the Vikings can try their luck with the British isles. Attacking England is easy. you start out with 1 longboat West of Arhus and South an Army led by the Prince. Send him aboard and land at either Dublin, York, Inverness,
or preferibly Nottingham as its already A castle and can replenish any troop along with A foothold on England and Huscarls. Use catapults to take them as the pope won't "Btch" about doing the point of the game and engaging in total war.......
Once taking Nottingham head for York and Caernarvon and after that itwill be even on difficult hard for anyone to push you off the Isles. Once taking London get an army and the 1 longboat and sail from Caernarvon to Dublin and attack Edinburgh from 3 sides (if you take Inverness early.) Sooner or later
Spain and Portugal will attack so keep A half stack on either Caernarvon
or Dublin.
The next target will be the Iberian peninsula. Attack Granada first so you can blockade further interfearence from them by take A huge fleet with you and placing them ON the cross-over between Cordoba
and Marrakesh. Start at Granada because its close to the sea unlike the others and its already A castle. Once you've cleared Iberia take Ajaccio and Caglaria. In the Future they will serve great for the Italian campaign.
By now either France or HRE has betrayed you and you can focus on them. HRE is your main problem as you can dostroy France by attacking
them from Iberia, England and Metz. So your main problem is HRE
so I warn you BE PREPARED. After the Fance/HRE problem is taken care of launch raids on Naples and Palermo by Caglaria. You will need to raise two well trained stacks of Huscarls, Norse archers, and fuedal knights
to take the City states of Italy, But leave Rome and head into North Africa afterwards and stop at Tripoli.
From Italy attack Greece and block of Constantinople from Nicea and Turkey to build up. Head North into
Russia and by now should have decent horse archers and you should have
war clerics and good troops. By now you should own every thing except the middle East and the Mongols should come. Fend them off when they
dostroy Egypt and Turkey. Wait for the Timurids and build up 5 stacks
and wait for the turn 162 and sail to Cuba. Make sure you bring 5 stacks of huscarls and whatever because it will be hard to kill the Aztecs as
Denmark but will be possible. By turn 150 you should have conquered the World, have Budapest as your capital, and frequently exterminate to keep order. All this will take time but WILL succed for they have A good all round mix of units for different special uses.
Hope this helpsHave any questions just respond and anything I missed just say so.

I don't really care for reputation.....It is near usless when the mongols and well before the timurids come. With Denmark you need A head start so by the time you are even A formidable foe for the Mongols you WILL be know as the "douchbag" of Europe.
A standard army under my control during the invasion of Europe would consist of Norse archers, Huscarls (both), viking
raiders, and later on dismounted fuedal knights.....
It's quite A different story with the muslim and orthodox factions...I tend to use Huscarls, mercanaries, any kind of archer unit avalible and I can pull it off with Denmarks lack of
offensive cav. vs. cav. units....

Go Vikings!!!!
