I don't know guys, I think this is a great thread.

In XGM I just sent a stack to Rhodes and took it. Did you ever know that germans took boats all the way around Spain and into the eastern Mediterranean, and conquered the colossus of Rhodes? I tried taking Pergammum but lost a stack and a half in the attempt, and rhodes was my initial target,when i was thinking about the origional migration.

Did you trigger the garrison script? Assuming you lost half a stack at Pergamon, that would've been a bloody battle.

I really should have recorded that battle but my fraps weren't' turned on at the time. I saved and reloaded the game after that battle with fraps turned on to get my conquest of Rhodes.

When you attack Rhodes in XGM, the advisor should come down to tell you stuff, and it should tell you to press the show me how button to activate the garrison script. A full stack of indie Greeks will appear in Rhodes to fight you.

What version are you on? You might be on an earlier one, before the scripts were added in.

I did not know that. I'm probably on an earlier one because I didn't see anything like that, or I quite possibly ignored it(I do that a lot when it's related to the advisor).

It spawns a full stack of Greeks in Rhodes if the player besieges it. And a bunch of other cities too.

Sunday, how do you get your elephants to do that much damage? Mine do nothing... Throw maybe 3 guys in the air but hte rest of 'em get out of the way. Great battle, by the way. What did you use to get the video?

Yeah, i think it adds a stack of independent greeks on the island with the script.

I guess Rebels are so advanced they hired their own diplomats
And, yes, I FINALLY conquered the entire map the next turn. Honestly, the second half of the game is b-o-r-i-n-g.
Edit: I played VH/H, and for the last 20 years I just set automanage settlements and spending to full. It actually keeps rebellion down.

Do you have a save before you conquerd them? i want to make them my protectorate give them some land and see if they will uprise against me

I guess when it's only TWO countries, they came to realize that maybe, just maybe, resistance against a complete juggernaut is really pointless. Nice pic.

Rebels can't train diplomats. When a faction is destroyed, their diplomats become rebels, and they can start offering ceasefires to you and other factions...

How did you conquer the world but only have 1870 Dennari left you musta did some heavy duty spending on the last few battles.

Or he just has tonnes of full stack armies and his cities are only just managing to make up for their upkeep.
