Hello All. I was just wondering if the cool feature in Rome: Total war where you could see your castle and watch your villages walk around was still here in Medieval 2: Total war. And if so, how can i do it?
Many thankz armyman

Nop. Sorry, but that feature has been removed. Don't know why. Lots of people are calling fr it back in ETW though.
It was removed, unfortunately. A reason could be the fact that all the civilians walking around would burden your PC, but I can't really say for sure. I always liked being able to relax while viewing one of my huge, prospering cities flooded with people and impressive buildings.
Seeing as I have RTW I was wondering how you can do it? It sounds cool but I didn't know you could.
On your settlement build queue screen, go to settlement info, and then next to where it says 'show trade from other settlements,' there will be one that says 'zoom in to city.'
OK thanks, I'll check it out later
That works for M2TW?
They removed a lot of things from MTW2 that they shouldn't have. This was a nice feature in Rome.. and it didn't hog my system at all which at the time wasn't fantastic..
Some modder once worked in a way to do it, basically by letting your city fight a passive rebel army of one unit, so you could browse the city with your men then quit the battle with no consequences to you. But I lost the link a long time ago and I think the mod itself is gone. But it did exist at one time.
