do any other powers ever make it to the americas? Ive tried waiting some times but its obring and theyre too slow so I normally end up doing it or preparing several turns before. So has anyone seen a faction make it to the americas first?

I've never even seen another faction attempt it
See the storm set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I'll wait for you
Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I'll wait
With or without you

I haven't actually played a campaign long enough for the America's to appear
yes they're to stupid to build naval drydocks and even if they get carracks (by that time the game is usually won)
they will use the carracks like any normal ship...only difference is that the carrack is a "tough nut to crack"
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!
I've never found the Americas all that exciting anyhow.
Went over once as HRE and pounded their infantry into the dirt with 8 units of Gothic Knights charging their whole line. Open field of course and very very spectacular. Ultimately just the same as everything else though.
The only American's that I have seen is in the Kingdoms Campaign and they were easy to beat with the Spanish and gunpowder. Kind of a let down, you wait ages to get over there and when you do they are a pushover.
I have never seen it either. Makes you wonder how the AI is scripted. In the beginning its the rebel settlements that are targeted first.

Tell them the paint is wet, and they have to touch it to be sure."

The good thing about the new World is that it's great for money making with Merchants, with tobbacco, Gold and chocolate
Yeah, it's not good. They should go over the ocean as well as human goes. It would be nice like "The Pope lives in the mighty citadel of Miccosukee".
it would be kind of fun if you gift each region of the americas to a different faction and see how it all plays out
