I know I havent shown any pics from this campiagn for a long time, but ive been busy working on my AAR...
As you can see, I have surrounded this roman army with 2 full stacks![]()
this is the last full roman army.
The Berbers' army in Dimmidi consisted of 6 peasants and a general... I've noticed that wjilst on vanilla the seige towers' ballistae absolutely cream the enemy's wall units, on BI they actually fly off the walls ! This is the most spectacular one that i could get a screenshot of...
Just before the berbers and romans episodes, i had spent several yeas and several full stacks trying to catch the slavs who were running around my balkan terrirtories as 4 full armies, threatening to strike my cities when they wanted. An army of full infantry (basically) caught up with them and considering that the Slavs are almost all horse archers (being a steppe-horde-HA type faction) they did pretty well...
Battle stats of the previous battle.
The slavs merged 1 untouched full army and merged the other remnants into another to throw themselves on this army. It was a defensive battle so I used my 1/4 square. (Saxon style) This involves general and cavalry at centre, spearmen in shield wall making a line 4 ranks-ish thick with missiles in the space between the cavalry and spearmen, room for them to fire and other infantry (veteranii - AMAZING DEFENSE!).
The general encourages whilst the golden band chant. The veteranii do all the hard work with ease and the shield wall is there if the enemy gets through. All the while my missiles are decimating them. Then the cavalry charges and the whole army routs. My fresh, eager units chase them back to the other end of the battlefield (where they always rout to, not the nearby edge of the battlemap ?!)
As you can see, the cavalry and veteranii infantry got the most experience.

I found this pic as well... Big battle!
