    Default Limits of AOR

Is there any way to extend your faction's AOR? Because as the Greeks the only viable castle that can recruit my native units is Hadrianopolis, obviously that makes sense with what the Empire sarts with but once your loooking at the scale of Basil II's empire, when he had 250,000 men under arms ready to fight, it becomes less plausable. Is there any way to allow other regions outside of your orginal borders to recruit higher tier troops from your roster?

For any who are interested by my FF on occurrences in Rhun and beyond; I have begun a new project (not because the old one is finished, just opening more room for ideas) about one of the minor characters, Rankal. It is in the Third Age AAR index and here is the link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=376994

I think, an updated version will show a revised recruitment system coming along with a revision of the tech-tech-tree for all factions, soon.

Outside of Byzantine AOR, you will need to build the Feudalization (Thematic) buildings. At lower levels these will give you the basic Thematic levies and Stratiotai, but at the higher tiers, you will get some of your core units.

This also applies to all other factions.

As the Byzantines, you need to think of it as your homeland producing the Tagmatic units, while areas outside your AOR produce your Thematic units.

So you're saying that the former fuedalisation structure needs to be removed? I'll try that one out, thank you

No, you need to keep upgrading them. At the higher levels you get the better units.
